The Problem
There are many things to do during the festive season. Prepping, visiting, making sure there’s enough food, packing duit raya, putting up decorations. It’s a lot of work! The older you get, just thinking of it is exhausting enough. It doesn’t feel as charming as the celebration we had when we were kids.
The Insight
When we practice Raya and its traditions wholeheartedly, we pass the joy of the celebration to the next generation.
The Solution
We brought back Aida in this year’s TNB Hari Raya festive film. This time, she’s married and with kids. And she’s still stressed! Having loved Raya as a kid, she finds that Raya as an adult just doesn’t feel as charming as it used to. So she tries pitching the idea of a more convenient and comfortable Raya to her husband. Instead of cooking? Cater! Instead of living in cramped conditions? Book a hotel somewhere else! Instead of packing duit raya? Just use QR! However, her husband reminds her that it’s in the traditions that her son and family gets to experience the nostalgic joys of the celebration.
