How do we create brand ads for a generation that absolutely detests ads?
The Insight
Every marketing guru has an opinion about how to create content, especially for Gen Zs. But that doesn’t change the fact that Gen Zs hate ads. Which made it hard for us to tell them about our brand platform, That’s a Nando’s Thing.
The Solution
We know they loved content. So we disguised our brand ads as an animated series that lived exclusively on TikTok. A series based on real customers’ stories that our Nando’s staff (that we call Nandocas) have seen over the years. And hidden in these videos were unique brand propositions like bottomless sauces, different PERi-PERi flavours, customisable meals, sides of every kind; everything that we know our customers love about Nando’s.
