Leading up to the festive season, the head of the family goes to great lengths for the celebration. Planning, co-ordinating, opening their home to extended families, they will do what it takes to make sure loved ones share in the festive feeling. But what happens when the head of the family passes away?

Behind every family reunion is an anchor who brings everyone together. And that anchor doesn’t have to be the head of the family.

We made the anchor the main character of this year’s TNB Chinese New Year festive film. Mei, the only daughter in the family, gets wind of the youngest brother’s plan to skip out on reunion dinner. She doggedly goes out of her way to ensure the entire family gets together, fulfilling a promise she made to her father many years ago.
